Burglary Near You -BD9

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Coniston Grove, this occurred on the morning of 29th September 2025 roughly 0745hrs. The method of attack was by forcing a a side door which was locked via a sash jammer which they have managed to snap. 

Suspect(s) have forced entry to a side door which they have then managed to snap the sash jammer which was locking the door. Once in the property they have begun to search the property. However police were called and managed to apprehend one of the suspects which resulted in their arrest. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 29th/09/25 0720hrs-0830hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
